LIVE SCORING
Chilliwack Golf Club is excited for the 2024 Chilliwack Men's Open, slated for July 6 & 7, 2024!
It is with the support of participants, sponsors, and spectators, that this event is circled on the calendars of many premier professionals across British Columbia, and is the longest running amateur event in the province.
This page is designed to provide you with everything needed for a succesful tournament. Announcements regarding the event, draws, tournament conditions/rules, live scoring link, pin sheets, etc will all be available here.
TOURNAMENT DRAW:
ROUND TWO DRAW
The Tournament Draw will be available Tuesday, July 2, 2024 @ 6:00PM.
Please check back on the Friday afternoon/evening prior to the tournament to ensure there were no changes to the draw. We will do our best to make sure we limit the changes, but sometimes it's out of our control. It is your responsibility to arrive ahead of your start time.
Round two start times will be posted once all scores are in on Saturday evening - please avoid calling the Golf Shop on Saturday evening as the call volume is extremely high.
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION:
Day of tournament registration will begin at 6:00AM on Saturday, July 6th and will remain open until the last golfer has checked in. Raffle ticket sales ($20) will be available for various prizes, as well as Gross Skin's game sales ($40 total allocated as $20 per day). Registration will be in the Creekside Lounge prior to the start of your round (ATM on site if needed).
Breakfast will be available starting at 6am on both days of the tournament.
Note: why don't we offer Net Skins for amateur golfers? Each year we are asked this question. We've gone back 10 years and it's almost a straight 50/50 split between amateurs and professionals winning skins. Skins are generally won by a player with on every good (or lucky) shot. You don't have to be a professional to hit a lucky shot!
TOURNAMENT CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS:
No refunds will be granted after 12:00PM on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
TRAVIS MATHEW EXPERIENCE/TEE GIFT:
We are pleased to once again have the Travis Mathew Experience on site for this year's tournament. All Amateur golfers will receive a gift card to purchase/redeem for a item(s) of your choice at the TM Trailer.
Tee gifts can only be picked up on Saturday evening at the tournament party. It is your responsibility to pick up your tee gift; there will not be any additional times available should you miss your window.
If you are unable to attend the party on Saturday night, we encourage you to give your gift card to someone who can select and pick up your tee gift for you.
CADDIES:
Caddies are permitted at the Chilliwack Men's Open.
LIVE SCORING:
For Live Scoring purposes, one player per group will be assigned to keep the group’s scores on their smart phone through the Golf Genius app. The log-in code (GGID) is a six letter code listed, this will be provided on Saturday morning at registration. Use this code to log-in through the app under “GGID” and your group’s scorecard will appear on your phone. There is nominal data used (a few 100 kb’s).
All players are required to keep a scorecard and keep their own score even if they are scoring for their partner on the app. If they do not have the app, they must keep their playing partner’s score on top part of the card, and their own on the bottom of the card.
In cases where not all players in a group can score on the app, we will nominate one player to keep all 4 scores on the app for the group.
In fairness to the field regarding LIVE SCORING, if a group fails to enter scores on the mobile app, they will not be allowed to access their phones or mobile devices at any time during the round other than for emergency phone call purposes. Failure to adhere will result in a one-time warning per season. A second and any successive breach will result in a one-shot penalty per breach.
New for 2024: we will be providing live scorers on Sunday afternoon for our leading groups. Live scorers will ensure the correct scores are being entered by each player (number of groups is dependent on how many volunteers are available).
TOURNAMENT RULES & TIME PAR:
It is your responsibility to review the tournament rules and conditions and print a copy for your reference. Note: in an effort to be more environmentally responsible, we will not be providing printed copies of the rules or pin sheets to tournament participants.

TOURNAMENT PIN SHEETS:
It is your responsibility to print the pin sheet in advance. Pin sheets will be posted by noon, the day before the tournament. Note: in an effort to be more environmentally responsible, we will not be providing printed copies of the rules or pin sheets to tournament participants.
TOURNAMENT PACE OF PLAY:
Chilliwack Golf Club has instructed the Vancouver Golf Tour "Rules Officials" to enforce the tournament "Time Par." Failure for tournament participants to follow the set "Time Par" will result in penalties being issued. Tournament "Time Par" guidelines are located in the Supplemental Local Rules.
FRIDAY NIGHT SHOOTOUT:
New format for 2024!
5:00 PM Start. The first 32 participants registered will go head to head (random draw for seeding) in a 3-Ball KP Shootout on the 4th hole. Lowest total aggreigate distance moves onto the next round. We pay out top 3 competitors. Music, drink station & much more. Thanks to OLE Cocktails for sponsoring the evening. You must be a tournament registrant to participate in the Friday Night Shootout.

TOURNAMENT FOOD & BEVERAGE:
Tournament participants will be provided with a meal and drink voucher (courtesy of Sleeman Brewery) for each day. These vouchers can be used before of after your round of golf. We kindly ask that once you are done eating to please give up your seat for other participants.
Breakfast will be available on Saturday & Sunday from 6AM to 11AM in the Creekside Lounge
Lunch/Dinner will be available from 11AM to 8PM in the Creekside Lounge on Saturday and in the Canex Pavilion on Sunday.
SATURDAY NIGHT PARTY:
We are pleased to announce the Saturday Night Party returns to the Canex Pavilion in 2024. The party will feature stations throughout the venue with food and beverage items. Doors open at 6pm and dinner will be ready for 6:30pm.
Reminder to wear your wristbands and to bring your drink tickets to access the party.
Tee Gift Pick Up: if you are unable to attend the party on Saturday night, we encourage you to give your gift card to someone who can select and pick up your tee gift for you.
HOLE IN ONE COMPETITIONS:
Hub International Insurance has stepped up for the Hole-In-One competitions once again; you have 4 opportunities for $10,000 on both Saturday and Sunday! Fingers are crossed that one of Amateurs will walk away with a nice payday. All hole-in-one's auto renew should an ace be made.
