Hole #6
This is a classic risk/reward, short par 4. The conservative tee shot should be 175-200 yards down the center to the left side of the fairway. Trees encroach on the right beyond 200 yards and can make the approach, particularly to a pin on the right side, very difficult. From the tee, the two-tiered green is reachable for the long hitter. However, an attempt to drive the green must avoid out of bounds close to the left side, a large patch of knee-high grass on the right, and quite punishing bunkers to the front, back left and back right of the green. All approach shots should be wary of the pin position as shots played to the appropriate lower left or upper right tier can make for a much better chance for one putt par, birdie or eagle! |
